Fiasco Friday……Or Embracing My Obsessive Personality Trait To Fix the Hot Tub

I realized at an early age that I had a few quirky personality traits. Being a wee bit obsessive when it came to problem solving, negotiating anything, finishing most projects (note I said most – you should see my desk!) even if it would take until 3 in the morning, has on several occasions just about done me in. Fiasco Friday….the famous failures

fiasco friday

Synopsis You have to learn how to fail in order to succeed. Here are some famous failures from history. Fiasco Friday……Booted from University….I’ll show you!

fiasco friday

My dad used to say it seemed I always had to learn my lessons the hard way. He also used to tell me regularly to pull in my horns – I was, and still am, tenacious. So….being the know-it-all 17-year old, during my first year of college, I got the opportunity to live out loud both his observations. Out all night and 8:00 am classes….no problem…don’t [...]

Fiasco Friday…..reorganized out of a job but we WIN!

A day that will live in infamy in our household was early July, 2012. March of 2011 my husband I moved from the Atlantic seaboard to the south to relocate for the company my husband worked. Friday Fiasco….the cake that never was

For more years than I can count I’ve been making a raspberry cake that I adapted out of a fiasco an old neighbor had.  The glass cake pan had broken in the oven and there was cake everywhere.  The cake had actually dripped onto the oven racks and baked as a lovely cake coated rack….Being very young at the time, we did the only thing we could think of….we ate the evidence…yup, pulled up a couple of chairs in front [...]
